The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Marketplace Product Lead who can take ownership of Elion’s well-established marketplace and drive its next stage of growth.
You’ll set the product vision and roadmap, build the operational machine (people + processes + technology) to support ongoing data collection and curation, and oversee our monetization strategy—all while maintaining Elion’s commitment to being the go-to resource for healthcare organizations exploring advanced technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Product Roadmap
- Shape the Product Vision: Own and refine the roadmap for the marketplace, prioritizing growth, user engagement, and monetization.
- Align with Company Goals: Collaborate with leadership to ensure the marketplace strategy supports broader organizational objectives.
Platform Development
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and design to iterate on the marketplace interface, ensuring it’s intuitive and valuable for both vendors and buyers.
- Marketplace Navigation: Expand capabilities for navigating our category, vendor, and product data, making it easier for users to discover and compare different solutions.
Building the Operational Engine
- Data Management & Accuracy: Drive the development of reliable processes and teams to collect, validate, and maintain marketplace data.
- Scalable Infrastructure: Use automation and emerging technologies (including AI) to streamline how quickly and efficiently new data is integrated.
- Self-Service Solutions: Create tools and workflows that empower vendors to claim, update, and enrich their profiles with valuable, up-to-date information.
- Performance Insights: Provide analytics and comparison features so vendors can track their standing in the marketplace and identify opportunities for improvement.
Growth & Engagement
- Key Metrics & Analysis: Identify and monitor relevant user metrics (e.g., engagement, retention) to measure success and guide continuous improvement.
- Marketing & Research Support: Collaborate with internal teams to craft strategies and content that drive user adoption, deepen engagement, and highlight marketplace value.
What Success Looks Like
- Significant increase in active marketplace users and deeper user engagement with vendor profiles and categories.
- High-quality, accurate, and expanded vendor data that positions Elion as the trusted resource for understanding the health IT landscape.
- A clear strategy for growing marketplace revenue in line with Elion’s broader mission.
- Scaled Ownership: As the marketplace grows, build and lead your team to drive further expansion and innovation.
What We’re Looking For
- Product Leadership Experience: Prior product management in a fast-paced environment. Healthcare and marketplace familiarity is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Data & Technical Fluency: Comfortable with data analysis, SQL, and leveraging AI tools. Ability to conceptualize and guide technical teams in building or improving products. Some familiarity with Figma is helpful.
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to think big about product vision while executing on near-term priorities. Experience scaling user bases is highly valued.
- Operational Excellence: Skilled in project management, process-building, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
- Adaptability & Grit: Excited by a startup environment and able to thrive in ambiguity while driving towards clarity.

Compensation
We offer competitive compensation because we want to hire the best people and reward them for their contributions to our mission. We pay all employees competitively relative to the New York City market, regardless of their location. The target salary range for this role is $170,000 - $190,000.
